Aloo qeema is one of the most favored of recent trending foods on earth. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. It’s enjoyed by millions every day. They are nice and they look wonderful. Aloo qeema is something that I have loved my entire life.

Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. If browned bits of onion are stuck to the bottom of the pan, stir water into onion and stir to loosen the browned bits.   5. Prepare 1/4 tsp turmeric (Haldi) powder • ¾ tsp. chilli powder
  6. Take 1 tsp. ginger paste • 1 tsp garlic paste

The contrast between the meaty keema and the tender potatoes is the stuff comfort food is made of. A staple Pakistani meal, aloo keema is made using minced meat (aka keema) and potatoes in a dry gravy. It can be served with roti or rice. Not plain keema or matar keema or piyaaz keema.

Instructions to make Aloo qeema:
  1. Chop the onion and cook in oil until light brown.
  2. Add all the spices and finely chopped tomatoes.
  3. Cook on medium heat till water is almost dried. Add mince meat mix and dry the water again.
  4. Add 2 glasses of water cover and cook till meat is tenderized and the water dries.
  5. Add potatoes and cook till the potatoes are soft.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala powder. Garnish with fresh green Coriander (Dhaniya) leaves, green chilies and Ginger (Adrak) slices and lemon juice.
  7. Serve with naan..

It can be served with roti or rice. Not plain keema or matar keema or piyaaz keema. Keema aloo is a happy coming together of mutton or lamb mince, cubed potatoes and of course onions and tomatoes. Made in the instant pot or stovetop, it is a one-pot dish that's easy to make. Heavenly when eaten with roti or rice!
