- When potatoes and carrots are tender bring slightly to a boil add your cornstarch and water mix make sure it is cold water with the cornstarch slowly stir into the stew turn down the burner and let it simmer for a few seconds put a lid on it stirring occasionally and enjoy
Stir in rosemary, parsley and pepper. Season the beef with some of the salt and pepper and coat with flour. In a casserole over medium-high heat, Saute the beef and shallots in the butter and oil until browned on the outside. Drain the oil from the casserole and stir in the tomatoes, water and stock cubes. Season with garlic, parsley, thyme and remaining salt and pepper.
