Mix together the oil, salt, black pepper and balsamic vinegar. Pour half the mixture over the steaks and the remainder over the vegetables, mix well. Transfer to a colander to drain. Wipe pan with kitchen paper, then return to medium-high heat until hot.

  5. Thinly slice onion leeks then deep fry. Serve and enjoy.

Transfer to a colander to drain. Wipe pan with kitchen paper, then return to medium-high heat until hot. Transfer the rump steaks to a warmed plate and keep warm. Add a little more oil to the pan, if needed, and cook and stir the onion over medium heat, until soft and light brown. Add carrots and courgettes and fry, stirring occasionally, until soft.
